Simple Recovery invites you to its free community education program, "Drug and Alcohol Use in Sports: What you Need to Know" on Thursday, November 5th, 6:30-8pm. What risks might student athletes be taking to become the best? Dr. Greg Stewart, MD, the official Health and Wellness Physician of the NFL Player Care Foundation (PCF), joins Simple Recovery to speak on the topic of Student Athletes, and what you need to know to keep your athlete safe. Find out… What at-risk behaviors student athletes are or could be participating in, and how you can educate your athlete on: The abuse of sports enhancing drugs Injuries and porescription painkillers Dangers of Binge Drinking Dr. Gregory Stewart, MD Co-Director of Sports Medicine Program at Tulane Institute of Sports Medicine, and the lead physician for the NFL Player Care Foundation (PCF)'s 'Health, Mind, and Body Screenings'. This event is FREE and all our welcome to attend. One CEU (Continuing Education Unit) will be provided for: CAADE, CCAPP, BRN, and BBS mental health professionals. All proceeds from this event will benefit The Simple Recovery Foundation, dedicated to educating our community and providing financial aid to those who cannot afford treatment services.
