Entrepreneurs will then pitch to our investor  panel, followed by questions and feedback from the panel.    Audience members (even those who are not pitching) will benefit from the insights offered by the investor panelists and will learn more about the startup investment ecosystem. He has more than 20 years of software development and business strategy experience and has worked with leading names in Silicon Valley like Apple, Google, Oracle, SGI etc. Assim's current focus is in mobile/ cloud based consumer services and products. He typically works with early stage companies which have some unique proposition in these areas.  Assim holds an MBA in International Business as well as a B.S. in Electronics Engineering.      Mary Jo Potter has been an active entrepreneur and investor for 30 years. An entrepreneur, she operated and sold a business to McGraw Hill,  then became active in angel investing in the Chicago area –  where her first investment was Supercuts.   Upon moving to the Bay area, Mary Jo became a member of Keiretsu Forum. She has invested in a variety of entities, but is now focused on the healthcare sector. Her more recent investments include  Chronix, Hydration Technologies, and 3 Derm.  Mary Jo serves on the investment committee of Keiretsu Forum.  Mary Jo has held executive positions with BDC Advisors, Highperlink, Sibson and Omega Performance. Her clients have included Kaiser, Partners, Trinity Health, WEBMD, Sutter, and Genentech. She has held positions on many boards, including CHW/Dignity, CHI, Christus, UC School of Public Health, Hope unlimited in Brazil, Compli, and Les Concierges.  She holds a bachelor's degree from Siena Heights University, a master's  degree from Northwestern University, and has completed an executive education program at Stanford.  In her ‘spare” time, Mary Jo enjoys tennis, cooking, travelling wherever airplanes fly, and working with disadvantaged young people.        Salil Pradham is a venture partner and early stage investor with Draper Nexus Ventures. An advisor to corporate LPs on product strategy, partnerships with startups, and M&A, his current focus in on seed/early stage startups in verticals including retail, healthcare and agriculture with an emphasis on IoT (Internet of things).  Previously, Salil spent 10 years at Hewlett Packard in a variety of roles, including CTO of HP's Enterprise RFID/IoT business where he helped create and grow the nascent IoT solutions business to 0m in revenue.  He serves on the Board of Momentfeed Inc., is a mentor at the Plug & Play Tech Center and Cincinnati-based Brandery and an advisor to a number of tech startups. Salil is also an advisor to Washington, D.C. based Govonomy, which helps technology startups growth into government markets. He has also served on the advisory boards of UCLA's WINMEC and UCSD's Center for Wireless Communications.  A founder of two startups, Salil's all around experience as a entrepreneur, venture capitalist, product executive and corporate strategist makes him a sought after panelist and judge at venture pitch events. He has been frequently quoted by leading publications. Salil has been issued 54 US patents, in areas related to sensors, IoT and computer systems. He has an MS in Computer Science from Northeastern University in Boston and a B.E.
