VICE founder Shane Smith interviews President Barack Obama, discussing a host of issues important to Americans, from foreign policy and marijuana legalization to global warming and political gridlock. I like President Obama’s answer to Shane’s question regarding political gridlock. If people are dissatisfied with the lack of movement in regards to developing issues such as climate change, vote so we can be rid of the officials (Senator James Inhofe for example) that are holding us back.

obama should try to talk more about how impossible it is to do something without the congresses approval.

Interesting editing in the VICE News interview with President Obama: https://news.vice.com/video/president-barack-obama-speaks-with-vice-news Integrates clips & reports for context before and during each question. It’s not as wonky as the Vox interview, with charts pulled in. There’s no quirky, funny native ad for Healthcare.gov, as with Buzzfeed. Vice does its own thing, and I find it engaging. I suspect their audience does as well.

Serious though, if a sustainable free unlimited energy source were to be found, [if it already hasn’t] that would eradicate any need for fossil fuels or gases, something like resonance. As the president of the U.S.A, would you want to ‘destroy’ the economy by releasing this secret knowing that all the gas companies, oil companies, energy companies suddenly have no more purpose? It would to a short sighted person have tremendous short-term effects. But long-term, were talking about an amazing stretch of discoveries. I seriously doubt that Obama will allow the release and promotion of these things.

    what a softball interview…

  9. DarkShadow64 says:

Obama, George Bush and the rest of the pack should all be dragged to Brussels and sued for crimes against humanity as well as conspiring against world peace. The Nazis learned what justice means, America never had to.

Obama seems like a pretty cool guy in my opinion.. Loved the interview.

  12. checkeraka47 says:

Obama is a very wise and experienced man. He’s been one of the best and most rational presidents we’ve yet to have, and anyone who says otherwise needs to start looking at the facts.

  13. GI Josh says:

Obama, cool guy, bad president. I’m pretty lenient on most issues. But for someone who isn’t watching. Obama is absolutely trying to stagnate the 2nd amendment, through backdoor manners that limit your rights. I’m willing to have a debate on almost any issue, but seriously, if you’re pro gun control, you’re wrong. 100%, no opinion. I can back it up too.

You guys are like little religious nuts who go crazy for their GOD, called The State. Fuck your God. Fuck The State. Fuck the greatest murderer of freedom and human lives in all of history. Nothing good will come of us voting for President’s who are ultimately nothing more than puppets for the corporate influences that control this country. As likable as Obama is, where is the change? The Federal government still harasses pot dispensaries and growers, arrests users and we still fight wars for profit. Not to mention the Federal Reserve printing interest based money. Where is the change? Nowhere, and it is certainly not going to come from the state. Enjoy your slavery, or lead yourself and stop this empire. Or are we Americans too ignorant and lazy to unite for freedom? I thought so.
