FAQs

If I purchase an access pass with a ServSafe Manager 6th Edition Coursebook included, when will I receive my coursebook?

We ship coursebooks to the address included during registration within 48-hours of receipt of order, during the business week, Monday through Friday, excluding major holidays. Materials are shipped via Priority Mail. Plan your order and timing accordingly. If you don't think you will have time to receive your coursebook prior to your class date, send us an email and we will hold your coursebook for you at the testing site. The only disadvantage is you will not have the coursebook to study in advance of the class. Email us: MAIL@TDtrends.com

How do I prepare for the class and exam?

Read your coursebook and complete all of the sample questions. Also, visit our website at www.TDtrends.com and go to our ServSafe page and you will find sample quizzes and other helpful study materials. Our class is focused and not your typical 'death by powerpoint' and 'boring' food safety class! You will get all you need in class, as long as you study before, you should do great!

Our class score average is 92%, which is excellent! We are committed to doing our very best during class.

Can I take the class online?

Yes, you must purchase an online course at www.ServSafe.com. Once you complete the online course, you must have an authorized ServSafe proctor your exam (that's what we do!). You are not permitted to take the online exam alone, your session must be proctored (that means we have to be in the same room with you). Most participants enjoy a classroom format, this allows time for questions, clarifications, and in my opionion, the best prep and readiness for the exam.

What is the minimum passing score? What if I fail, do I retest for free?

The minimum score is 75% If you do not pass, you must pay to retest. You may retest WITHOUT repeating and paying for the 8-hour course. You may purchase the 'exam-only' from us in the event you need to retest. Contact us and we'll help you get retested, don't worry, we'll help you get certified and set-up for success. The retest only exam fee is only

If you attend a scheduled class date (you only need to arrive at 3:00 PM, the day of retesting only); if you want one of our instructors/proctors to come to your place of business to retest you, we are happy to do that as well. We call that an 'onsite proctored exam', the fee is 9, which includes the retest exam sheet or online option (your choice). We will travel up to 40 miles roundtrip (20 to/from your business), distances greater than 20 miles to your business is an additional per mile.

If you take the paper exam, typically offered during a classroom session, you will be able to access your exam scores online at www.ServSafe.com in about 14-days after your class date. Typically, exams are graded quicker and scores are posted before the 14-days required for grading and processing.

Keep in mind we are required to ship paper exam sheets to the Chicago, IL secure test processing center. If you take the exam online, your proctor/instructor has the ability to grade your exam after you complete the exam.

Contact us about what option works best for you! It can be a bit confusing on what materials you may need to order if you visit the www.ServSafe.com website, we suggest you contact us first for guidance and to calrify questions based on your situation.
