Weather Analytics Announces Addition Of Chief Product Officer, Emmett Soldati

Somersworth, New Hampshire (PRWEB) May 22, 2015

A rapidly growing, Washington DC-based startup is now making waves in New Hampshire. Weather Analytics, a three-year-old scientific data analytics company, has opened a second office in Seacoast, NH. Looking to further expand its entrepreneurial talent pool, Weather Analytics has appointed area-native Emmett Soldati as its Chief Product Officer.

In his new role, Soldati will drive the design and development of solutions the company delivers to Insurance, Agriculture, Retail, Advertising, and Government clients.

As a serial entrepreneur in the Granite State from a tea house and a gastropub, to green tech and incubators, Soldatis passion for innovation has contributed to the economic and cultural revitalization of his home city, Somersworth. He has sat on multiple boards, including an arts nonprofit, and the board of governors for York University in Toronto, from which he graduated summa cum laude. Soldati earned his masters at the London School of Economics.

He was named one of New Hampshire’s top Upstarts by NH Business Magazine at the age of 25, for his continued engagement in ventures large and small and ones that cut across consumer and business enterprises as well as having founded the Makers & Shakers organization, which promotes and celebrates entrepreneurs in semi-rural areas.

What attracted me to Weather Analytics was not just that the company was refining and perfecting the science of meteorology, says Soldati, but the broad, expansive applications that atmospheric sciences have in decision support for a range of industries. Getting the chance to work with major advertising agencies like Ogilvy and Mather, or large insurance companies, like Houston Casualty Corp all which are grappling with significant weather- dependent challenges or opportunities in the data age has been an exciting undertaking.

Bill Pardue, Chairman & CEO of Weather Analytics, said Soldatis unrelenting rejection of the status quo everything can be better! drives continual innovation and enhancements across every business function, not simply products.

This is a hyper-competitive guy, Pardue said, and that spirit drives the best in all of us. Pardue noted that Soldati played rugby for the London School of Economics and founded the Ultimate Frisbee Club at York University. He keeps abreast of competitors like nobody else to make sure we deliver demonstrably superior value to our customers.

In his new role, Soldati will bring together a team of developers, designers, and data scientists to push the bounds of new business intelligence solutions in industries impacted by the weather. His four years of running consumer-facing businesses and managing multiple and diverse teams will contribute significantly to business success, Pardue said.

In conjunction with Soldatis appointment, Weather Analytics has announced it is recruiting new talent to double this year its current staff of 10 in Somersworth, NH. Were always on the hunt for upstart talent, said Pardue. Emmetts background is unconventional unlike any of the product leaders I worked with when running LexisNexis. But whats most important for our team is individuals who can jump into any challenge, enjoy learning new skills, and can make lemonade, out of anything. We found that in Emmett and across our team. They generally dont know things cant be done, so they do them, audaciously.

The Somersworth office, known locally as Weather Analytics North, resides in a large corner of the citys largest former textile mill, built in the early 1800s. Weather Analytics North boasts a spacious and bright space for tenant designers and technologists a great fit for the mill owners, Chinburg Properties, looking to continue expanding its commercial footprint in NH mill buildings.

Weather Analytics is one of many new businesses and ventures cropping up in the historic downtown of Somersworth, founded in 1729, a multi-cultural community that is slowly revitalizing into New Hampshires next vibrant Main St.
